Text Box: Text Box: Christie Elwood is a certified massage therapist with over seven years of experience in the healing arts. After graduating from one of California’s most respected massage schools, The Acupressure Institute, she started a small part-time massage business which has grown to become Christie & Co. Christie has also been certified in massage for pregnant women since 2001 and offers a variety of packages. She continues to expand her services and knowledge and will soon offer mud treatments as well.  When Christie is not helping people feel better, she spends time with her children, Nate and Abbey and husband Dan. Christie likes to bake and oil paint in her free time. Thank you for supporting me in Tour de Cure 2008!  With the help of many friends, family and clientele I raised over $1,000 for the ADA, who I believe is truly making a difference!

I recently completed the challenge of cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event.  I have once again joined thousands of others to pedal in support of the Association's mission:

To prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. As many of you know, it has affected the life of my husband, mom and mother-in-law considerably.
